Buses to and from Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO)
Several bus companies operate airport buses from outside the terminals at Rome Fiumicino Airport. At Terminal 2 for example the bus stop is just outside the Arrival's zone main exit, the same is true for Terminal 3. Simply follow the “Regional Bus Station” signs when you arrive at Rome Fiumicino Airport.
Rome Airport Bus
Rome Airport Bus (www.romeairportbus.com ) runs a service throughout the day and early evening, but there are no night buses. Rome Airport Buses take justs 40 minutes for the trip to Rome Termini train station and leave approximately every 30 minutes from the airport. A single ticket costs 6.90 euros per person one-way, return from 9.90 euros. Rome Airport Buses have free Wifi onboard and allow extra luggage for free too. They stop at Terminal 3 (bus stop 8), in Fiumicino centre at Piazza Alcide De Gasperi and at Rome Termini in Via Giovanni Giolitti. They also connect with Ciampino Airport via Rome Termini. The ticket costs 5.90 euros per person one-way. Before getting to Ciampino Airport, they stop at the town centre of Ciampino at Piazza Luigi Ritzo.
Tickets can be purchased online. Payment methods accepted include PayPal, American Express, Discover, Maestro, Mastercard and Visa. You can also buy a ticket onboard from the driver or at the bus station at the airport.
Sit Bus Shuttle
Sit Bus Shuttles (https://www.sitbusshuttle.com/) leave from Terminal 3, bus stop 5, throughout the day, taking ca 40 minutes to arrive at Rome Termini railway station and about 50 minutes, when they go to Rome Vatican – the bus stop is at Via Crescenzio. It's the most convenient way for travelling directly to Saint Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums. A single ticket, going either way, costs 6.00 euros per person. Sit Bus Shuttles also connect with Ciampino Airport via Rome Termini railway station. The ticket costs just 6.00 euros per person, one-way. Bus tickets can be purchased online, at the Regional Bus Station and from the driver onboard the buses.
Terravision Buses
The buses run by Terravision (www.terravision.eu) leave Rome Fiumicino Airport approximately every 20 minutes. A single ticket costs 5.80 euros per person and includes free extra luggage, free amendable dates and there is no booking fee. The trip takes ca 55 minutes, Terravision buses stopping at Fiumicino town centre first, before travelling onwards to Rome Termini railway station at Via Giovanni Giolitti. Buses leave Terminal 3's bus stop 7 daily throughout the day and early evening, but there are no night rides. The first Terravision buses leave at 05.35, 07.45, 08.30, 09.10, 09.45 and at similar intervals throughout the day.
TAM Buses
Leaving from bus stop no. 13 outside Arrivals at Terminal 3, where the Regional Bus Station is located, TAM Bus (www.tambus.it) charges 7.00 euros per person, one-way, to transport passengers to Rome Termini train station at Via Giovanni Giolitti 34. TAM Bus also stops at Rome's Piazza XII Ottobre 1492. Before getting into Rome, the TAM bus halts at Fiumicino town centre at Piazza Alcide De Gasperi. Buses leave every 30 minutes throughout the day and early evening. There are no night buses. Tickets can be purchased online, from the machines at the Regional Bus Station at the airport and from the driver onboard the TAM Bus.
