From March 2019 onwards, passengers headed into central Rome for onward train travel or just to stay for a few days can take advantage of the new Trenitalia Ciampino Airlink. The combined bus and train link into central Rome begins just a few metres from the entrance to the airport, where the bus stop for Ciampino train station is located. Buses run until late at night, taking passengers to the small train station in Ciampino centre, and from there by train to Roma Termini.
From Rome Termini passengers can travel to virtually anywhere in Italy and beyond the country's borders into Switzerland. Train tickets for long-distance travel and regional connections come in two varieties: standard and first class. Buying a ticket in advance online at https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html saves a lot of money on most journeys.

The bus service is provided via bus operator ATRAL and leaves from bus stop 6, please visit https://www.atral-lazio.com/ for more information about this new service. Tickets cost 2.70 euros per person, one-way, and can also be purchased in advance from the trenitalia website.

The very first service of the day leaves Ciampino Airport at 05.50, arriving at 06.30 hours at Roma Termini. If you miss the last service of the day, there are no night buses available from Rome Ciampino Airport, only taxi services.
